tattoos are becoming rather popular again, I agree. Near on most of my lady friends back in Canada have a tattoo somewhere. one of my friends, because of back surgery had a wicked scar running all down her spine, so she got two giant tattoos to help accentuate/cover it up... and then she got two more for fun. strangely, most of my man friends do not have tattoos. the problem most people face with tattoos is that they are permanent. so please be careful, because what looks cute when your young, might not be so hot when you're granny aged and wrinkly.

My nephew and niece-in-law have kanji tattoos. It's surprisingly common.
